Reframing how we see the South
“Global South” and “New South” are terms charged with histories of colonialism and racism. The goal was to reframe that language to spark new conversations among authors, designers, and changemakers working to overcome social injustice, through topics like territory, housing, immigration, race, social inequity, and civil rights.

Icosahedron

Map Projection
Using map projection and geometry, the approach created an unloaded, forward-moving language flexible enough for any format, speaker, or topic.
Icosahedron Rotation
From this, we were able to stack, rotate, and layer the shapes in countless configurations, adapting fluidly across formats, animations, print, and more.
